At Main Library, 1001 Arapahoe Ave., Boulder, CO 80302

Explore mental health and self-expression through writing, drawing, discussion, and mural-making in this four-part workshop series co-designed with professional artist, Karma Leigh. Participants will finish the collaboratively produced mural and have time to reflect on the project as a group. Meet the artist: Karma Leigh is a Chicana educator, self-taught artist, muralist, and curator from Colorado whose work blends art, education, community, and suicide prevention. This program is made possible through partnerships with Rise Against Suicide, Street Wise Arts, and Colie’s Closet. Together, we’re exploring how art, community, and honest conversations can help change the narrative for teens around suicide and mental health. Boulder Public Library District Presents... (BPLD Presents) is a series of cultural, civic and creative happenings that focus on learning about, and building, the community that our library serves. Explore the calendar of events for the Canyon Theater and art exhibitions.
