The Boulder Palestine Film Festival will be screening "The Zionist Story," a 75 minute documentary by Ronen Berelovich. Unrated. "The Zionist Story" starts with these five questions: When did it all go wrong? Why did Arabs and Jews start hating each other? Was it because of Judaism? Was it because of Islam? Is it about oil, money? Over the next seventy-five minutes the film answers these questions with clarity and thoroughness. This is a film about the history of Zionism from its inception in the late nineteenth century until the present. It is directed and narrated by a former Israeli soldier who discovered that he had been brought up with lies and myths about Israel's history. Through incredible archival footage and interviews with experts, the film explains how Palestinians have been living under the control of the Israeli military, and how their steadfastness in resisting this control has never wavered, despite incredible hardship and tribulation. The film will be followed by a talkback. This event is organized by a community partner and hosted by the Boulder Public Library. If arriving after 6:30 p.m. please use the Canyon Blvd. entrance. Parking is available in both the Canyon and Arapahoe lots. To reach the theater from the Arapahoe lot, cross the creek using the exterior bridge. Doors for after hours events typically close 30 minutes after the event starts. This timing is based on the discretion of the event organizer and late admission is not guaranteed.
