At CHRS Radio Central, 2152 Central Avenue, Alameda, 94501

Earn your Daisy Craft and Tinker Badge at CHRS! Daisies will transform authentic vintage vacuum tubes into whimsical snowmen, bees, or other decorative creations in this hands-on craft workshop that blends art with technology history. As girls paint, design, and assemble their projects, they’ll learn how vacuum tubes once powered early radios and electronics while exploring creativity, craftsmanship, and upcycling through a unique STEAM-inspired activity. Daisies will earn and receive the Craft and Tinker badge in this workshop. Adult supervision is required onsite for the duration of the program. Troops must maintain GSNorCal’s required adult-to-girl ratio. Girls attending individually must have a parent or guardian remain onsite. Parents and chaperones attending are welcome to join and attend free of charge and we hope you will participate in a complementary tour of the museum. For more information or questions contact: Michael Toedman, Director, Marketing & Partnerships, CHRS & BARHOF, the organizer for this event. For any council-related questions please contact Brenda Gabel, Senior Director, STEAM Partnerships & Development at [email protected] events are exclusive for Girl Scouts of Northern CA youth members.
