Looking to expand your knitting skills or try a new project? Join us for Knit Together, a series of hands-on knitting classes designed for adults and teens of all experience levels. Each month, we’ll explore a new project and learn a specific knitting skill along the way. Projects will range from beginner to more advanced throughout the year. Before signing up, please check the prerequisite skills for that month to make sure the project matches your experience level. All materials are provided, so bring your curiosity and get ready to learn, create, and knit together! Want to share the fun? Bring a friend along! December's project: Baby Socks Learn the basics of sock knitting with this sweet and practical baby sock project! In this class, you’ll work through a beginner-friendly sock pattern while learning techniques that can be applied to future knitting projects. Participants will learn how to work with double-pointed needles (DPNs), pick up stitches, create a heel flap, and use the SSK and K2tog decrease techniques. The project is a great opportunity to build confidence with knitting in the round and learn some of the foundational techniques used in sock construction. Required knowledge: Participants should be comfortable with the knit, purl, ribbing, and Long Tail Cast On techniques.
