At Malletts Creek Branch, 3090 E Eisenhower Pkwy, Ann Arbor, MI 48108
Each week, the youngest 826michigan writers meet to play and explore what writing can do. Drop-in for Early Writers is a writing and literacy program for 5-8 year-old students offered weekly to explore writing through different genres and themes. In each session we do an icebreaker, read a book, talk about the book, and then use one of the author's practices or themes in our own writing. Students experience the joy of writing however they are able, from the physical act to conversation-based brainstorming and development of new ideas.
